GPS Radio Upgrade
All radios in our aircraft need replacement over the next few years. The first radio, a Garmin 430 GPS was installed in 80M during February. To avoid such things as loans and assessments, the Garmin GPS Radio Fund has been established to help kick-start the replacement schedule. Without this kick-start, replacement will not be able to start for a year or so.
Members are requested to donate to the fund A successful kick-start will help circumvent financial difficulties related to the GPS upgrade in the future. These are your aircraft, Let's get them fixed up...
857 will look something like this...
To encourage members to donate to the fund and familiarize pilots with the new equipment, the Flight Certificate program was created. For more information, e-mail flyingparticles@email.com.
Currently for $100 donations a flight certificate is being issued for a $50 credit on a 2 hour or longer flight. For a $50 donation, a certificate is being issued for a $25 credit on a 1 hour or longer flight.
